Dave's Killer Bread, Killing it in the market place

Eating good bread is important. Especially when you are working hard, training hard, and climbing the ladder to get to where you want to get to. Being on the look out for quality foods to replenish and refuel your body, along with knowing what the companies actual value systems are becomes a crucial point when discussing food and nutrition in the year 2017, where so many companies follow unethical and underhanded company practices. It becomes clear that while some breads appear to be good, they may not actually be. Dave's "Killer Bread" however, is one that you can look toward for a solution. According to journalist Julie R Thompson over at The Huffington Post, she talks about a bread called "Killer Bread", made by Dave Dahl in her article The Strange And Sad Tale of Dave's Killer Bread. In it, she gestures toward some of the struggles that Dave Dahl faced as a former prison inmate who while struggling to find peace in his personal life, was able to transcend some of those sufferings through the act of baking bread. She says :

"The real tale is a reminder that things aren't always as simple as they seem__ and that the very basic act of baking can help one find peace (and sometimes success) in difficult times."

Much like Dave Dahl discovered first hand of things not appearing to be what they seem in difficult times, finding quality nutrition can be similar. To connect this to my own personal experience, I have found that many breads in this country are spongy, and really do not taste good for the amount that you pay for them. Now that I am on my own, I value my own time and income much more, as a result when it comes to making purchases of groceries (including bread), I am much more aware of what I buy, and why I buy it. Whenever I purchase Dave's "Killer Bread", and spread creamy almond butter over it I know that I have made the right decision.

To tell you a little bit more about this bread, it is one that has a firm character. On the cover of their website, they advertise clearly what the companies values are and where they stand ethically. This is important, especialy whn it omes to what goes inside of your body. In their "About me" section on the company website, it says :

"FOR US, IT GOES BEYOND BAKING THE BEST BREAD IN THE UNIVERSE -- IT'S ABOUT BELIEVING EVERYONE IS CAPABLE OF GREATNESS, CREATING LASTING CHANGE IN OUR COMMUNITY AND SO MUCH MORE."

This is an awesome value system to build a company on. So many food companies, restaurants and food distributors in the year 2017 have such underhanded quality control systems that it becomes readily apparent where the companies values don'

t stand. When Daves "Killer Bread", straight out of Canada explains clearly what they stand for, what their goal are and use only the finest of ingredients while supporting second chances for those with criminal records, it really gives hope to the fact that perhaps these people actually have stronger value systems than those that are in positions of power through the distribution of food. As an athlete and environmentalist, I really value the companies motivation and conviction toward creating a product that is maintained with quality, and also supports second chances. That is something we all need in life, whether holding a criminal record or not. I believe in what this company stands for, not just for the fact that they are doing something good in the world, and also for the fact that their goodness outshines some of the unethical practices of companies that may have never been humbled. It is available in most grocery food stores in the United States.
